Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course

- Including the nationally recognised unit of competency [HLTAID007 - Provide Advanced Resuscitation]

The 2-day Advanced Cardiac Life Support course focuses on adult based learning principles and incorporates the ACLS manual and ACLS workbook as reference materials. This is sent out as a pre learning package prior to attendance. Participants are encouraged to read the ACLS manual and complete the workbook prior to attendance. Class sizes are small, approximately 6 to 8 participants, who actively engage in scenarios involving advanced resuscitation techniques.

The course is aimed at Medical Officers, Division 1 Registered Nurses, Ambulance Officers, Army Medics and companies working in remote areas requiring advanced resuscitation training.

Classes are held both in house and within a hospital or other training facility.

A certificate of competency is issued on successful completion. The curriculum of the course follows the guidelines as set out by the Australian Resuscitation Council and the Resuscitation Council (UK)
