Since 1993, NPT has grown from being one of the first privatised Non‑Emergency Patient Transport providers in Victoria to being one of Australia’s leading patient transport providers.
In 1993, NPT commenced operations in Victoria, following the privatisation of the Non‑Emergency Patient Transport (NEPT) sector. Since then, we have grown into a national business with a presence in Western Australia and New South Wales.
NPT entered Western Australia in 2005 and commenced our operations in Perth and subsequently, expanded to Mandurah. As part of our plans to become a national and leading provider of Non‑Emergency Patient Transport, NPT continued to work closely with other State Governments and successfully participated in Non‑Emergency Patient Transport trials in Queensland, South Australia and New South Wales. In 2016, NPT was awarded a contract with NSW HealthShare and commenced operations in New South Wales.
NPT Heart was established in 2014 to provide qualification training for NEPT sector. NPT Heart continues to expand and deliver Patient Transport Officer and Ambulance Attendant training. In 2018, NPT Heart was awarded a Skills First Contract with the Department of Education and Training to deliver government-funded training to eligible individuals.
