The Platinum Outpatient Driver Service (PODS) provides a reliable and safe transport service with clinical support and assistance for patients attending outpatient appointments. Our customers include the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), WorkSafe and public hospitals.
Platinum Outpatient Driver Service (PODS) provides a patient/client focused service that ensures patients who live at home are assisted to outpatient appointments and arrive safely and on time at the appropriate department. This is a door-to-door service and not a curb-to-curb service with patients being assisted to their appointment within a facility and not simply delivered to the front door of the hospital.
All PODS staff are clinical trained usually at the minimum level of Patient Transport Officer (PTO). All the vehicles have been configured to transport multiple ambulant patients comfortably and are equipped with first kits.
