Patient Transport Officer (PTO)
A PTO provides non-emergency transport and care of low acuity patients. Low acuity patients are those requiring transport for non-acute, chronic illness or disability.
- Certificate III in Non-Emergency Client Transport, or
- Certificate III in Paramedical Science (non-emergency)
- Full Drivers licence

Ambulance Transport Attendant (ATA)
An ATA provides non-emergency client care and transport services for low to medium acuity patients.
Requirements
- Certificate IV Health Care (ambulance), or
- Diploma of Paramedical Science (non-emergency), or
- Diploma of Paramedical science (ambulance)
- Full drivers licence

Registered Nurse Division 1 (RN1)
By obtaining ATA qualifications, a RN1 will be employed as an ATA to provide care for low to medium acuity patients.

- Bachelor of Nursing degree
- Current BCLS Certificate

Customer Service Operators
Customer Service Operators work within the NPT group Operations Centre, and arrange metropolitan and regional transportation for clients. Customer Service Operators answer transport booking enquires and can advise customers of the transport service which is right for them. Operators also enter online and faxed transport requests into a computer aided dispatch system.
