what we doAdvanced Cardiac Life Support Course
The 2-day Advanced Cardiac Life Support course centres around adult based learning principles incorporating and extensive ACLS manual and ACLS workbook. This is sent out as a pre learning package prior to attendance. Participants are encouraged to read the ACLS manual and complete the workbook prior to attendance. Class sizes are kept small, around 6 to 8 participants, who actively engage in scenarios involving advanced resuscitation techniques.
The course is aimed at Medical Officers, division 1 Registered Nurses, Ambulance Officers, non Emergency transport providers, Army Medics and companies working in remote areas requiring advanced resuscitation training.
Classes are held both in house and within a hospital or other training facility.
A certificate of competency is issued on successful completion. The curriculum of the course follows the guidelines as set out by the Australian Resuscitation Council and the International Liason Committee on Resuscitation.
